Mogilev is a city founded in 1267 in the eastern part of Belaurs, at approximately 76km distance from the border with Smolensk Oblast region in Russia and 105 km distance from the Bryansk Oblast region.

It is the third most populated city in Belarus, after Minsk, the capital of Belarus and Gomel. It is also the center of Mahilyow Voblast - an important province of Belarus, one of the most important economical and industrial centers in the country. Another two important cities of the province are Asipovichy and Babruysk. One of the most remarkable buildings which are worth seeing while staying in Mogilev is The Saint Stanislav Cathedral, which was build between 1738-1752 and it amazes with its baroque style.
